About Kate

Spiritual
Direction

Life has many challenges and often these challenges bring our life to a standstill. A halt that we are not expecting. This is when our spirits become lost, disheartened and even depressed as we struggle to get our life back on track. A spiritual director is a companion who is able to support you in these times of change. As our spirit is where our true self lies, it is the place where you can accept yourself, as an authentic human being. This is the place where you feel your best.

Spiritual direction can also be beneficial for people who wish to share their life journey with another. The spiritual director who can journey with the OTHER, as a person shares the many parts of their journey that may be challenging but also joyful, because life is one amazing tapestry.

Spiritual direction is a space where you can bring your whole self to be held by the trained spiritual director. The spiritual director gently listening, guiding and hearing your life stories and in that holding space transformation occurs for you. This can be in the form of greater clarity, direction where your life is heading or greater reflection that enables you to get back on track. Kate knows this is a privileged place in which to welcome the OTHER.

If you have a faith or believe in something greater than yourself spiritual direction is for you.

I have been in spiritual direction myself for over 15 years and have offered spiritual direction to others for more than 8 years. I see myself as a spiritual director who offers transformation to others and also specialise in treating Grief and Loss.

Kind words

“Katharine ran a retreat for us, looking at ‘Spirituality and the Arts’. On this ecumenical retreat, Katharine provided insightful and fun activities for the whole group which provided us with the much needed time for reflection and renewal. Katharine was friendly, pastoral and helpful with all who attended and we can’t wait to invite her back again to learn from and engage with such a talented artist and spiritual director.”
